Negotiate and revise a proposal

Every proposal opens a message thread with the sender. You can use it to answer their questions and adjust your price.

Chat with the sender

• Open the conversation from your proposals or from the listing's details.
• At the top of the thread, a banner recaps your proposal (amount + message).
• You can message the sender once they've started the conversation themselves or accepted your proposal; until then, messaging stays locked.

Revise your price

As long as the proposal is pending, you can revise it:

1. In the banner at the top of the thread, tap Revise.
2. Enter the new price (and an optional message).
3. Confirm: the sender immediately sees the updated amount.

Good to know

• A proposal that's already been accepted, declined, or expired can no longer be revised.
• Pull the thread down to refresh and see the latest messages.
• No need to withdraw and resubmit an offer: revising does it in one step.
